Anta Banderas

The Anta Banderas project started out with the construction of the new winery in 1999, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. Its objective: to produce top quality wines. It boasts ownership of more than 235 hectares of vineyards, strategically spread out over two well-defined estates, where the viticulture practised is based on the mountainous terrain, with the lands of one surrounding the winery at Villalba de Duero, and the other estate located 30 km away. The winery's philosophy is to create and personalise the wines by starting at vineyard level, ensuring a variety of healthy wine-making practices are employed, and thereby extracting the maximum expression of identity from both the terroir and the grapes.

In June 2009, Antonio Banderas, with his love for wine history and culture, became fully involved with the project and the winery came to be known as ANTA BANDERAS.
