L'Azienda Agricola Sottimano born in 1975 with the acquisition of a farm in Cotta, Piedmont. In subsequent years, its founder, Rino Sottimano acquired various plots within the mountainous area of Langhe to complete the 16 ha of vineyard covered for 5 different crus of Barbaresco subzones; Pajoré, Cotta, Curra, Basarin and Fausoni, Dolcetto 'Bric del Salto', the Barbera "Pairolero" and Maté. His son Andrea Sottimano is who now runs the family business, with a production of only 85,000 bottles a unique taste and maximum under the philosophy of respect for the environment, with the use of organic products and a reasoned viticulture. Today we deal with Dolcetto D'Alba baby 'Bric del Salto' 2009, resulting from the combination of 3.5 ha of different plots Neive Township, near Curra and Cotta (Barbaresco), which eventually produce 20 .000 bottles, a round wine easy to drink, in his youth. Early perceptions for this gem are aromatic scents of cherry, flowers, toasted bread, and soft spikes lactic ferment alcoholic oxygen and temperature, they become toasted and sugar brûlée. After a generous swig, the prevailing front matter weight and salty taste that ball with just checking some rough tannins and dry (in the upper gum), well balanced with pleasant bitter finish. Bric del Salto, a Mediterranean-style Dolcetto, with attractive violet tones and sensations that bring us to remember the essence of Priorat. Sottimano, Vincitori vinyl!
