A fine Rioja, an intense wine with plenty of length, an elegant and silky bouquet, resulting from long ageing in barrel and bottle. This 1995 vintage was considered “exceptional” by the prestigious Robert Parker (95 points): “the best representation of classic Rioja”. (1995 was an excellent year in Rioja).
A bright, dark cherry-red coloured wine of medium density, with violet tones appearing on the rim. Intense and elegant, it reveals varietal aromas and touches of cinnamon and coconut. Rich, balanced, with fine acidity, this wine is long and persistent on the palate.
Matured over 24 months in American oak barrels (the first year in new oak and the second in oak averaging 3 years old, and racked manually four times) then subsequently aged in bottle.
