The wine

The first legendary vintage dates back to 1976, and due to subsequent excellent vintages over the years, the winery has built on the wine's fine reputation for outstanding quality, highly acclaimed nowadays by specialist collectors and great connoisseurs of the wine world. It pays homage to the great original, showing added refinements and complexities accrued over the intervening time.

A dark red colour, with violet on the rim, the nose reveals aromas of black fruits, liquorice and dark chocolate together with notes acquired during barrel-ageing (vanilla and mocha). Richly endowed with fruit flavour, generous and balanced on the palate, it shows well-integrated tannins and a lengthy finish.

Aged for 8 months in American and French oak barrels.
