Mariano García is one of the accepted authorities in the world of wine in Spain. After spending 30 years as technical director of Bodegas Vega, he decided to set up independently in 1998 in order to work full time on his own personal projects. It is some time ago since the first of these, Bodegas Mauro, consolidated its position as one of the finest wineries in Castile-Leon, putting its efforts into the “moderate-scale” production of top quality wines. Mauro exemplifies to perfection the strength and intrinsic nature of Castilian reds. Its fine performance as a wine for laying down, along with its powerfulness and elegance, single it out as an excellent choice - an essential addition to every wine cellar.
NOTE: Decanting is recommended an hour before serving.
Aged for 15 months in French and American oak barrels.
