Finca Espolla encompasses 20 hectares of vineyards, covering slopes and terraces in Les Alberes, an area in the foothills of the Pyrenees to the north of Perelada, swept by the strong northerly Tramontana wind.
High density plantation has lowered production levels and thereby intensified the characterful flavour of the grapes, with the black slate soil adding a touch of minerality.
A deep shade of cherry-red, with aromas revealing hints of Mediterranean flowers, mineral and balsamic notes.
Lively on the palate, with a touch of acidity that refreshes, full of expression and personality originating from the vineyard.
Aged for 15 months in French Allier oak barrels, with the rest spent in bottle.
