The wine

The great wine of Château Margaux bases its essence on the strong character of its homeland and on the passionate work accumulated by the different generations in command of the property. It is a unique wine that combines like no other finesse, elegance, complexity, density, intensity, duration and freshness. Despite its high tannic concentration, it is impossible to find any astringency in it. The different vintages draw in each bottle of Château Margaux a different profile: the great harvests are distinguished by their tremendous ability to thrill, while those fruits of more adverse harvests are the true happiness of the most seasoned fans of wines with their own character; The latter are wines that evolve faster and that reveal with only a few years the subtlety of a great land when the conditions for a great vintage do not exist. The best harvests give rise to wines that evolve almost eternally, developing a delicacy and an unusual aromatic complexity and whose presence in the mouth grows with each year of rest in the bottle.

Describing the Châteaux Margaux is not easy. Imagine an intense garnet red wine, made mainly from cabernet sauvignon grapes, which oozes aromas of red and black currants, kirsch and memories of forest floor and cigar box, wrapped between subtle strands of lavender and oolong tea. Its body is medium and displays all its minerality on the palate with an ethereal sensation of weightlessness. It is also tremendously intense, with layers and layers of flavors backed by a firm texture of fine tannins such as silt, finishing wonderfully fragrant and incredibly long, in an irresistible crescendo. Its aftertaste mineral is dressed in graphite, the same mineral with which we could write an extensive letter to a friend before the memory of the wine fades.
