A coupage made with 70% Monastrell, a local popular variety, along with other components: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah make up the remaining 30%. The vines are aged between 15 and 50 years old, growing at an altitude of 700 metres in Villena (Alicante).
In appearance, the wine is a dark cherry-red colour, of high density, and has a violet border. The nose exhibits aromas of red and black fruits, along with floral and fruit notes (carob beans and figs). It is dense, concentrated and balanced on the palate, with fruit, mineral and spicy notes, and shows well-defined ripe tannins.
Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
