Friedrich Becker found in the city of Schweigen, Pfalz, very close to the French-German border. The winery dates back to 1973 and it is the Friedrich Becker who takes the reins from the start, but their children, Helena and Fritz, actively collaborate with him today tasks both vineyard and winery. The winery is a member of the VDP.
Approximately 60% of its 14 hectares of vineyards are located on the border with Alsace, where the grape is predominantly pinot noir, Riesling followed, in less developed some varieties wines pinot gris, chardonnay, Silvaner, Auxerrois and Gewürztraminer.
Friedrich Becker Riesling Trocken is Schweigener ortweine or 'wine village' Becker family, and the municipality, Schweigen abound with calcareous sandstone. Schweigener Trocken Riesling is a wine that, by their origin from the Pfalz region and unlike its neighbors, shows a certain power of seduction so confirms his nose, with classic citrus and tropical aromatic, herbaceous but wrapped fresh sparks: mint, anise, chives and cilantro. As kind is the mature nose like texture on the palate with good acidity controlled.
