Powerful and complex whiskey distilled in the remote island of Islay, west coast of Scotland.
In making Laphroaig, the malt is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavor. After the double distillation which is subjected, matures in oak barrels from Kentucky for ten years, close to the sea, leaving in its taste some of iodine and salt air of the Atlantic.
Considered by many experts as one of the best whiskeys in the world, is ideal as a climax to a great dinner.
