The makers of De Molen are well-respected and considered among Europe's best brewers; they offer a wide range of styles, always of an excellent standard. Their 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' is a beer to take some time over, to let all those rich, complex aromatic nuances waft through. In appearance, it is a dark brown colour, almost black, with a thick foamy head, and reveals peaty, tarry and smoky notes, with bitter almonds and woody touches, and has a finish that is slightly chocolatey but, most especially, very long. Pair it up with blue or smoked cheeses - heavenly!
